Know the business

The useful overview.

BullionMax is a retail dealer, rather than the mint behind every product it sells. Gold.com’s current brand page places it in the direct-to-consumer business and identifies it as wholly owned. The brand traces its beginnings to 2020.[1]

Gold.com’s quarterly filing for the period ended December 31, 2025 identifies BX Corporation as the BullionMax entity and a wholly owned JM Bullion subsidiary. Keep the store, its legal counterparty and the wider group separate when comparing dealers.[2]

The silver navigation includes American Eagles, Canadian Maple Leafs and British Britannias alongside bars and rounds. These are useful starting points for comparing government-issued coins with privately produced bullion. Check the individual maker, stated weight, fineness and condition on the listing; a dealer name alone does not establish manufacturing origin.[3]

For a buying comparison, use the same product, quantity and payment method, then include shipping and tax. A shared corporate owner does not make two storefronts’ prices or policies interchangeable. This directory does not turn company marketing, customer-review totals or group financial results into a dealer quality ranking.

How the story developed.

  1. 2020

    Brand origins

Gold.com gives 2020 as the founding year. This is a brand-history milestone, not evidence that the present corporate operator has existed unchanged since then.[1]

  2. 2023-06-16

    Assets acquired by JM Bullion

A-Mark announced that JM Bullion had acquired certain assets of BullionMax, LP, including its website and intellectual property, and intended to retain BullionMax as a separate brand. The announcement describes an asset transaction, not continuity of the old legal entity.[4]

  3. 2025

    Parent adopts Gold.com name

The parent changed its name from A-Mark Precious Metals to Gold.com. Older acquisition releases therefore use a different parent name from current brand pages.[5]

BGASC and BullionMax are sister storefronts within the JM Bullion group. Treat them as distinct directory profiles, not independent corporate groups.[2]

Check the details

Before you buy.

Read the current item and checkout terms. These notes summarize dated company policies, not a promise about your order. Applicable consumer rights still matter.

Dollar amounts in these notes are US dollars.

Compare payment prices and timing

The help page lists bank wire, ACH/eCheck, paper checks, Bitcoin, PayPal and cards, with payment-dependent discounts. Its deadlines and check holds differ from the newer contract. Confirm the method, total and release date before submitting an order.[7]

Use the dated contract

July 29, 2026 terms allow two business days for wires and up to ten business days of check holds; the older help page says one and three to five, respectively.[6][7]

US shipping and signature

The shipping table shows $9.95 below $199 and free standard delivery from $199, using the dealer’s chosen carrier. It requires a signature from $1,000. The page describes US delivery and an APO exception. Treat next-business-day dispatch after cleared payment as an estimate, not a promised arrival date; confirm destination eligibility and transit protection.[8]

Checked Nov 5, 2026

Resolve shipping exceptions

Shipping pages mention APO delivery and signatures from $1,000; terms say US-only and over $1,000. Confirm eligibility.[8][6]

Checked Nov 5, 2026

Returns are not cost-free

Request eligible returns within five business days of carrier delivery, in original condition. Final-sale and nonreturnable products are excluded. Original shipping is nonrefundable; buyers pay return shipping, insurance and any market loss.[6]

Cancellation can create a liability

Confirmed orders cannot simply be cancelled. A pre-shipment offset needs approval and may incur market loss; gains remain with the dealer.[6]

Selling back is a separate trade

The sell-to-us page states a $1,000 minimum, with online or telephone price locking and inspection before approval. It contains JM Bullion branding as well as BullionMax contact details. Confirm the buying counterparty and shipping instructions before sending metal.[9]

Checked Nov 5, 2026

Verify payout timing

The sell page estimates one to three business days after authentication; terms generally allow three to seven following processing, subject to verification and delays.[9][6]

Report delivery problems promptly

Report wrong, missing or damaged deliveries, including nonreceipt marked delivered, within 48 hours. Unattended or third-party delivery can exclude insurance coverage.[6]
