This horse is one of the twelve figurines in Kirk Stieff’s Woodland Collection. Its sculpted mane, poised stance, and hand-finished surface bring a surprising amount of character to a piece that fits in the palm of a hand.
The figure stands on solid walnut. Look for the P. DAVIS signature on the silver ground, and the STERLING, KIRK STIEFF, and © 1985 marks beneath the base.
A useful collecting detail: the recorded 20-gram weight includes the wood base. It is not a measurement of the silver content alone.
